its funny but at the moment i regard
ohio as a complete success
its a personal triumph
not in some CBT bullshit kinda way
as i age near 40
my thoughts on challenge
(e.g. solo climbing,)
have changed somewhat.
if i came off the mountain
or climb without 'success'
then i would have regarded it all as a complete failure.
But now, with time and experience
i can see that the act itself, of moving,
trying, being in the moment, pushing so much
is in itself a celebration of life and existence
away from the hum-drum mediocrity of the box.
in other words its all success as we
live instead of merely existing.

NA
Coming to north America is always a fascinating experience. It's quite novel to juxta pose
the culture when you come from a similar yet different western culture. the one thing that really stands out is the social conditioning for popular consumption. There is a massive shift in the mental attitude towards the environment and perception of materiality. Sadly unless there is a paradigm shift in the social awareness then the world , our children's lives and it's ultimate future are doomed. At the moment I am trying to observe ways in which this can happen. It seems like Rebirth it's going to have to be a rude awakening.
